How I Met Your Mother has confirmed that Seth Green will guest star in an upcoming episode reuniting him with his Buffy the Vampire Slayer costar Alyson Hannigan.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Green will be playing Daryl LaCoutre, who thought Marshall and Lily were his best friends in college. But the couple barely remembers Green's character when they run into him 12 years later, learning that he still lives in their college town. Green's character also brings the creepy factor into play with how much he wants Marshall and Lily in his life.
News of Green's addition to the cast was confirmed by the official How I Met Your mother Twitter account.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, another Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum has also appeared on the show. Alexis Denisof, who is known for his role as Wesley Wyndam-Pryce on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel. Denisof previously took on the role of anchorman, Sandy Rivers.
Fans of How I Met Your Mother can also look forward to another special guest star. Joe Manganiello will appear on two episodes beginning November 12 returning as Marshall's old law school buddy, Entertainment Weekly reports.
