Marvel has announced that Marvel NOW will be relaunching Uncanny X-Men in February of 2013.
Marvel NOW is an event Marvel started in October in which many of its already existing books are relaunched as well as some new series. Iconic characters like Iron Man and Captain America and even the Marvel Universe in general will have some changes, according to Comic Vine.
Uncanny X-Men happens to be one of the books getting relaunched with Brian Michael Bendis writing and Chris Bachalo drawing.
"I'm very lucky that I get to write All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men at the same time. I can examine this fascinating part of the Marvel Universe from vastly different angles. I can't think of a time where the mutant part of the Marvel Universe has been more exciting," Bendis said as quoted by Examiner.
The book focuses on a new team of X-Men which includes mutants like Cyclops, Magneto, Majik, and Emma Frost. The team will do whatever it takes to recruit new mutants to their cause, Complex reports.
"Mutantkind has been going through a re-evolution over the past couple years. The pressing question now is, who will lead them into the future? Every character is so complex and there are so many characters interacting. Literally anything could happen," Bendis revealed as quoted by Examiner.
