Meredith Israel Thomas, former RCA Records publicist, passed away Thursday night at the age of 39 after battling breast cancer for three years.
"After an epic and inspirational struggle Meredith passed away at 11.11pm last night! We were all with her holding her hands and telling her how much we loved her as she fought so hard for her last few breaths," her husband Gary Thomas wrote on December 22 in her journal where she shared her experience on CaringBridge.
"It was hard and very sad to be part of her final journey but I am certainly a far better person from having had Meredith at my side. She died with dignity and grace as she had lived her life. Meredith I love you more!" he continued.
Thomas used the journal as a way of remaining positive, but also to give her five-year-old daughter Niomi a sense of who her mother was.
"I can’t wait for her to read all the journal entries from people on the blog. People will tell her the stories about how much her mommy loves her," Thomas wrote earlier this year, as quoted by Entertainment Weekly.
Through the years, Thomas worked with many RCA artists including Kings of Leon and Dave Matthews Band, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
