Actor Randy Quaid has been denied the right to be a permanent resident in Canada.

KABC reports that the Independence Day actor desired a permanent residency in Canada claiming that Hollywood was responsible for the deaths for the late Heath Ledger and David Carradine and that the “Hollywood star-whackers” were out to kill him.

An anonymous Canadian governmental official confirmed the Quad’s residency denial.

Quaid’s fear of being killed isn’t the only reason he hopes to stay in Canada. According to KABC, the 62-year-old actor and his wife are subject to felony charges if they ever enter the United States after they allegedly caused more than $5,000 damage in a hillside home.

Evi Quad informed the Canadian Press the reason Quaid was denied was simply that he does not have a passport.

According the report, Quaid can appeal the decision in federal court.

Quaid’s other credits include Brokeback Mountain, Kingpin, Midnight Express and The Kennedy’s.
