Ever wanted a piece of Jason Stackhouse’s hair? Need a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift? You’re in luck, because True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten has donated his hair to SKY and LIVI, a jewelry company that has used his hair to develop a blue diamond pendant.
Estimated to be at least $16,000, the gem, surrounded by an 18K white gold pendent, is currently up for auction to fund cancer awareness.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the money will go to the organization, Look Good Feel Better, which hopes to better the self-esteem of women struggling with cancer.
Kwanten said, “My friend Anjanette started SKY and LIVI to help women cope with hair loss due to chemo. I know first hand how traumatic this moment is, as my mother is a breast cancer survivor and lost her hair during treatment.” The actor continues, “I think it is empowering for women to make a diamond from their hair, so I’m donating my hair to create a diamond in honor of my mother—to honor her strength and to celebrate her life.”
The auction is up on Charity Buzz for bids. The last day to bid is on Tuesday, May 7.
