There was a mini Spice Girls reunion over the weekend. In a blast from the past, Emma Bunton and Melenie Chisholm channeled their inner Spice Girl at a costume party. They dressed up as their alter egos Baby Spice and Sporty Spice.
According to a report by E! Online, Bunton and Chisholm attended a friend’s birthday party, which was also attended by Ginger Spice, Geri Halliwell. Geri, however, didn’t dress up as her Spice Girl alter ego. Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and Melanie Brown(Scary Spice) weren’t in attendance.
Nonetheless, the Spice Girls spirit was still in the air.
“Baby and sporty are back!!!!” Bunton tweeted, along with a photo of her with Mel C. She was rocking Baby Spice’s signature pigtails, a backpack, and holding a lollipop. Mel C rocked a ponytail and a sports jersey.
Emma and Mel C.’s costumes weren’t the only thing bringing girl power, and a hint of the 90s back. According to 2DayFM, Geri Halliwell recently revealed that she was dared by Mel C. and Mel B. to sing their Spice Girls hit, “Say You’ll Be There” at a pub.
