The first trailer for August: Osage County, premiered online Friday, giving movie fans a preview of the movie that will likely earn Meryl Streep another Oscar nomination.

The trailer was posted at ABC News and runs two and a half minutes. It tells the story of a dysfunctional family, in which all members are played by top acting talent. Streep leads a cast that includes fellow Oscar winners Julia Roberts and Chris Cooper, plus Ewan McGregor, Sam Shepard, Abigail Breslin, Benedict Cumberbatch and Juliette Lewis.

John Wells directed the film, which The Weinstein company is releasing. It is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Tracy Letts. According to the LA Times, the drama was first performed in Chicago in June 2007 and premiered on Broadway in December 2007. Letts also adapted the play for the screen.

If Streep scores another Oscar nomination, it will be her 18th. She has won two Best Actress Oscars and a Best Supporting Actress Oscar. Her most recent came for TWC's The Iron Lady.
