This episode focuses on guns and teenage sex and features Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

The episode starts off with Colbert talking about the FDA. They have announced that the morning after pill will be available for all ages. Colbert hates this idea. Now these hussy pills are available to everyone. He has to show a passport and give a DNA sample just to get Sudafed. The day we have to ask men in white coats for sex medicine is the day that Americans go to slut city. Colbert says that Plan B could annihilate the Teen Mom and Sixteen and Pregnant franchises. That will lead to the new show 34 –Financially Stable and Pregnant.

Then Colbert talks a little about gun violence. Every day there is a story about gun violence bothering members of congress. New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte became the poster child against gun violence legislation in her confrontation with Erica Lafferty (daughter of a victim in the Sandy Oak school shooting). Colbert points out that background checks are more popular than nacho cheese and reach arounds.

In the segment, “The Word”, Colbert discusses the word truthiness and the effect of gun victims over public policy. Kevin Williamson says that Kathy Gifford doesn’t have a right to influence public policy just because she was shot in the head. Conservative News jockey Bob Davies says that he losing his liberty is more important than the victims of Sandy Oak shooting losing their children. Davies wants to tell them to go to hell. The segment concludes with Colbert telling them to go to hell, basically.

In the final minutes of the show, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis talks with Colbert. The two discuss how they manage to release their album without a major corporation. They said that they used Warner Bros. to get a radio deal and that this model should be adopted. It was all about owning their ideas and not selling out. They also talk about supporting gay marriage and hip hop has become more accepting for that to happen. Here is a clip of their performance:
