While some rich celebrities are using Kickstarter to get their fans to donate their hard-earned money so they can make projects they probably could have financed themselves, The League’s Jon Lajoie has an even better use for Kickstarter - to make him super rich.

In a hilarious video pointing out the silly idea of rich people asking for more money from people, Lajoie says that he was inspired by the success of the Veronica Mars project and Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here fundraiser. The actor, who plays Taco on the FX series, said that people often come up to him and wonder, “Sir Lajoie, why aren’t you super rich yet?”

To fix this major problem in his life, he plans to set up a Kickstarter to raise $500 million, even though he already lives a comfortable lifestyle that allows him to jetski twice before 11 a.m.

He told fans to go to his website, where they can pledge to donate on Aug. 26. Fans have already pledged to donate over $10 billion, but there’s no limit.

Lajoie’s video comes on the heels of even more Kickstarter projects from celebrities failing. While Braff and Veronica Mars were huge successes, Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds), Zosia Mamet (Girls) and Melissa Joan Hart have all failed to match those early successes.
