Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are returning for season five of The Voice.
Shakira and Usher will not be back for season five but will return for season six, Entertainment Weekly reported. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will be judges for both upcoming seasons. Carson Daily will also be returning as host of NBC’s singing competition.
Shakira and Usher were popular with fans. Some recommended that NBC add the two full time. However, different judges will add a variety to the upcoming seasons. The two new additions to the show brought in solid ratings, according to CNN, unlike its competition American Idol and The X-Factor.
According to Mail Online, Usher cannot be a judge for season five even if they wanted him because he will be busy doing a movie. Shakira will not be returning for season five because she said she wants to spend more time with her family and take care of her baby.
So far Blake has won twice, Adam has won once, and Christina and Cee Lo have yet to win.
