The Biggest Loser ‘s Sam Poueu and Stephanie Anderson have filed for divorce just two months before the birth of their first child.
Us Weekly reports that the former reality competitors met while filming the third season of the hit weight loss show in 2010. Anderson and Poueu wed in April 2012.
Anderson released a statement following the announcement of their divorce telling Us Weekly, “It is with great sadness that my marriage to Sam Poueu is ending. Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy during this difficult time."
The couple announced that they were expecting their first child in January, where Poueu gushed about Anderson as a wife and mother. “Just from the experience of her being my caretaker post-accident, it was a dead giveaway that she'd be a fantastic mother…That was an early sign for me that our child is going to have the best mother ever."
Poueu suffered severe injuries after falling off of a 54 foot roof.
