The Voice mentor Blake Shelton has been subjected to rumors that his marriage to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert is on the rocks, but he has maintained that they’re just fine countless times.

In a new interview with People, Shelton opens up about his marriage and being forced to spend time apart due to their busy careers.

"If you're in the public eye, people are going to take shots at you," he said about his 2-year marriage to Shelton. "I have nothing to hide from you. Here's my phone. Go through it. That's really the kind of trust we have. There are no secrets.”

There have been rumors of infidelity, but Shelton is adamant that they have an honest and open relationship. "[I'll say,] 'Go dig through my drawers or my computer if you feel like you need to.' And that's been a really good thing, because I don't want her to ever have any doubts,” he said.

He goes on to say that if he were to witness someone flirting with her, he would be mad, but fortunately that hasn’t happened yet.

"If I saw some guy flirting with my wife, it would piss me off," he said. "I haven't seen a man brave enough to do that—mostly because I think they'd be afraid of her reaction!"

Shelton, who America fell in love with when he first debuted on The Voice also admits he’s been “thinking about” starting a family.

Tonight will mark the all-star benefit for the victims of the Oklahoma tornado, which Shelton organized with NBC.
