John Mayer has announced that he’s working on new music and has been spending time in the studio to give fans a new album. On Tuesday, the “Heartbreak Warfare” singer, 35, posted a message to his fans on Facebook.
One of the members of his entourage confirmed on his page that he’s been in the studio, and even shared a behind-the-scenes video.
“John is recording his 6th studio album,” the message reads. “Check back every Tuesday for more Studio Session videos to see what's going on behind the scenes.”
The video doesn’t show a lot, but does show the singer doing what he does best in the studio, E! Online reports.
In January, Mayer returned to the stage for the first time after a devastating surgery on his vocal chords forced him to take a 10-month hiatus.
American Idol champ Phillip Phillips will open up for him this summer when he tours, which kicks off in July.
