Carrie Underwood got an opportunity to perform with the Rolling Stones in Toronto on Saturday night, and she took to Twitter to express her excitement.
The American Idol winner sang “It’s Only Rock ‘N Roll” with Mick Jagger at the Air Canada Centre.
She tweeted:
Underwood also reflected on how far she’s come since winning the hit Fox singing competition show, writing “8 years ago today, I won @AmericanIdol and tonight, I sang with the @RollingStones! Wow, so much has happened! #Thankful.”
Underwood is just the latest guest singer to join the Stones on their 50 & Counting North American tour. After Katy Perry dueted with the iconic band, she tweeted that she “gyrated” Jagger. Perry sang the Some Girlshit "Beast of Burden” at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena earlier this month. Tom Waits, Keith Urban, Gwen Stefani and Dave Grohl have also joined them on tour.
The Rolling Stones’ official Twitter account revealed the Underwood duet earlier in the day, writing “@RollingStones25 MayTonight the Rolling Stones will be joined by @carrieunderwood! #Stones50#Toronto@LIVEatACC.”
