Scarlett Johansson is being considered to play Hillary Clinton in an upcoming biopic. However, she has some competition to win the coveted role, as Jessica Chastain, Amanda Seyfried and Reese Witherspoon are also being considered.

The film, Rodham, will portray the former Secretary of State in the earlier stages of her career as a lawyer in Washington, and it will be written by Young il-Kim.

Il-Kim described the film earlier this year to Politico by saying it’s about “a journey of a woman who was torn between her personal desires and her professional ambition — both literally pulled her thousands of miles apart, because Bill did not want to leave Arkansas, and she did not want to leave Washington, D.C,” Daily Mail reports.

Director James Ponstoldt said of the actresses being considered, “They’re all wonderful actresses. We’re very fortunate that a lot of really great actors are interested in playing these roles. We’re in an enviable position,” The Independent reports.

He added, “Regardless of people’s political affiliation or how they feel about Hillary Clinton, you don’t find people who question the quality of her intelligence or her drive. I want a wonderful actress who could embody that.”

The script was leaked earlier this month by the Daily Beast and revealed some were surprised at its sex scenes. When asked if they will stay for the final cut of the script, il-Kim said “It's an evolving process so I don't know. She was an attractive 26-year-old with an amazing future. And that's our thematic focus."
