Chris Brown has taken to Twitter to defend the artwork outside of his house following outcries from his neighbors.
“Keep em inside then! It's art. There are scarier creatures on Harry potter. Get a f***ing life!” he tweeted following the uproar.
As we previously reported, Brown’s neighbors called the city council who came out to survey the artwork which was deemed inappropriate. Numerous complaints in the form of phone calls, e-mails and letters were filed against the “Forever” rapper, who was given 30 days to remove the artwork or face a fine of $1,176.
Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, defends his client noting that the artwork should be protected by the First Amendment.
The city ordinance disagrees stating that the artwork of monsters is “scaring” the children. “There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they're literally frightened. It's like devils on the wall — big, scary eyes and big, scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we're used to," Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Assn, states.
Brown later added, “ima paint until my hands fall off.”
