Christ Brown spent time with his fans in South Los Angeles when she shot the video for “They Don’t Know” featuring Aaliyah, who died in a plane crash in 2001.

Brown first revealed details about the track using Vine. The track features never before heard vocals from the late Aaliyah.

The Sun reported Brown said, “I shot it [the video] in the hood. I wanted to bring both worlds together in the video and try to uplift the positive side of the community. I mean I come from Virginia, but everyone comes from a broken home or broke, I remember when I was.”

A behind-the-scenes clip was posted to YouTube by local Calif. rapper Uiie Popcorn. The video shows Brown filming scenes from “They Don’t Know” where he is sitting in front of a school surrounded by children MTV reported.

The clip is backed with Uiie’s own music but snip its of the new track can be heard and in between the lines Brown delivers Aaliyah sings “how could they know.” The track is scheduled to be on Brown’s upcoming album.

“I just actually shot a video and the song is dedicated to all my fans . . . its something special for all my fans,” Brown said.
