Daft Punk’s new album Random Access Memories hits number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 339,000 copies in its first week.

Taking five years to make the album the electronic duo received its best sales week ever and first number one on the Billboard charts. Random Access Memories is the second-larges sales week of the year next to Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience with 980,000 copies sold according to Billboard.

The duo’s fourth studio album is the first dance/electronic album to hit number one on the Billboard 200 chart since Madonna’s MDNA in 2012.

According to MTV, The duo’s 1997 album, Homework reached number 150 on the U.S. charts, 2001’s Discovery hit number 44, and 2005’s Human After All reached number 98. Their soundtrack for “TRON: Legacy” hit number 4.

Random Access Memories first single “Get Lucky” rests at number 10 with more than 350,000 downloads in the U.S. and 710,000 in England. In the UK, the album is the fast fastest-selling album so far MTV reported.

The sales of this album have already sold over double than their album Human After All, selling 125,000 copies; however, Daft Punk’s best selling album is Discover, selling 795,000 copies.

“Get Lucky” is Daft Punk’s biggest airplay hit climbing 46 to 29 on the Radio Songs chart last week.
