Dave Grohl joined the Rolling Stones on stage Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The Foo Fighters frontman played guitar and sang lead vocals on a verse from the Stones’ 1971 album Sticky Fingers.
The Stones’ guest was not kept a secret. Their twitter account showed a tweet from their social media team saying, “Tonight in Anaheim, the Rolling Stones will be joined on stage by special guest Dave Grohl!” that tipped off the fans according to Billboard.
Grohl is not the only guest the Stones have brought onstage during their 50 and Counting tour. Earlier this month Gwen Stefani and Keith Urban joined the band during the tour opener in Los Angeles. Tom Waits and Katy Perry have appeared onstage as well.
In London, New York, and New Jersey last year the Stones also brought Erick Clapton, Lady Gaga, and Bruce Springsteen onstage Rolling Stone reported. The 50 and Counting tour ends June 24 in the U.S. then heads to England.
