One Pennsylvania bus driver got an extra passenger that he didn’t expect. A deer came crashing through the windshield and decided to stay for the ride.

The incident occurred in Johnstown, a town in Western Pennsylvania on Tuesday. According to WPXI, driver John Porter was completely surprised by the deer. “Just out of the blue, something out of the corner of my eye, I saw something come through the window and a deer was there,” he told the station.

The white-tailed deer jumped around in a circle at the front of the bus for a few moments before it started running down the aisle.

The Associated Press notes that Porter stopped to open the door and the left the bus. It “just walked off the bus,” Cambria County transportation spokesman Josh Yoder said.

Porter was carrying one passenger at the time, but the person was sitting in the back and was not injured by the deer.

“I think she was more worried about how she was going to get home,” Porter told WPXI, which noted that his hands were cut by the broken glass.

The bus is currently being repaired, while the deer has hopefully made it home.
