Fast & Furious 6 was the number 1 movie in U.S. and Canadian box offices this holiday weekend. The sequel beat out The Hangover Part III.

The car chasing film made an estimated $98.5 million according to The Huffington Post. It is predicted to make $122.5 million by the end of Memorial Day weekend. The Hangover Part III made $42.4 million Friday through Sunday, and is estimated to end with $64 million by Monday. The third installment of the film got a measly 21 percent from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes.

The sixth installment of Fast & Furious is set in London, where Vin Diesel plays Dominic Toretto, a retired criminal who reunites with his old crew to catch a group of criminal drivers. Nikki Rocco the president of domestic distribution at Universal Studios said, "to do this again, and have critics rave which is so unusual for this type of film ... that's unbelievable." She said, "and it's really extraordinary that 49 percent of the audience is female. Older females really love the film." The seventh installment was just announced to release in July 2014.
