Fleetwood Mac returned to the road this year, which was great news for fans already. But now they’ve topped that by releasing four songs on iTunes today It is their first collection of new material in a decade.
According to Rolling Stone, the set, titled Extended Play, includes "Sad Angel," "It Takes Time" and "Miss Fantasy” by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks’ “Without You.” That last track is a recently discovered recording of a Buckingham Nicks song.
“We all felt that it would be great to go into the studio and record new material before embarking on this tour, and the result has been remarkable, our best group of songs in a long time,” Buckingham said in a statement, reports USA Today. “It's a work in progress, but we're so enthused by what we've done that we thought we'd share some of it with our fans in the form of an EP now …We're performing ‘Sad Angel’ and ‘Without You’ in the show, and the response has been terrific.”
Buckingham’s new tracks were produced by Mitchell Froom. It is their first set of new studio recordings since the 2003 album Say You Will.
