Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” breaks the record for the most chart-topping weeks for a title by a due with 12 weeks at number one.

“Cruise” surpasses Carl Butler & Pearl’s 11 week at number one with “Don’t Let Me Cross Over” in 1962-63 and expands the list’s longest run by an act since Buck Owens run for 16 weeks with “Love’s Gonna Live Here” in 1963-63 according to Billboard.

The pop remix featuring Nelly has three million streams and 189,000 downloads. The songs original version was number one on Country Airplay in December for three weeks.

Although Nelly and Florida Georgia Line sing different genres they collide together in the single and in the music video. According to Great American Country the video, directed by Marc Klasfeld, has fast cars and women.

Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” follows the single with a 10-week run from October to January. On Country Digital sounds, “Cruise” is in its 13-week.
