Hollywood is so starved for ideas that they’re already turning Angry Birds into a movie. Now, someone has decided that memes are a good place to look for movie ideas. Yes, Grumpy Cat is going to get his own movie and he probably won’t like it.

Months after the original Grumpy Cat was treated like royalty at SXSW, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday LA talent manager Ben Lashes secured a deal to make a Grumpy Cat movie. Lashes actually represents other Internet cats and always wonders, “What would Walt Disney do if he created Mickey Mouse and it went viral on YouTube?”

Lashes has been working with the original Grumpy Cat since October. The cat lives in Arizona and its real name is Tardar Sauce. (Yes, it’s supposed to be misspelled.)

Among many of the business deals Lashes has struck for his client is a partnership with Broken Road Productions, the studio behind Adam Sandler’s Jack and Jill. (Tardar Sauce was probably really unimpressed when she heard that, since the film infamously ‘won’ every Razzie award in 2012. But, she’ll smile when she sees the paycheck...well, at least her owner will.)

“She hates movies,” Lashes told the Wall Street Journal about his client.

According to Mashable, Tardar Sauce is visiting New york this week to promote the book Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book: Disgruntled Tips and Activities Designed to Put a Frown on Your Face.
