Jermaine Jackson is looking to find five talented Australians to form a group that resembles the Jackson 5.

Each member of the band must be able to sing, dance, and play instruments because Jackson believes there is a gap in the market for a musical act that are all around talented performers according to the Herald Sun.

“We need an act that can electrify an audience of any size and bombard the charts with number one songs. It’s not enough to sing or dance or both . . . you have to blow them away with your performance and the quality of your music. It all has to come together in a perfect performance. That is what causes crowds to go wild and super stars to emerge above the rest,” Jackson said in an interview with UnderCover.

The group will be called the JJ5 according to NME. He will find, train and mentor his group by auditions that will be aired as a reality show on JJ5TV.com.

The show will allow fans to vote for their favorites, who then will form three groups before the final five performers are selected. Jackson’s plan is to help JJ5 record a debut single before sending them on a world tour.

The website is expecting to accept auditions in July. Jackson is expected to arrive in Australia in June to launch the show.
