Three of the biggest names in Hollywood are reportedly being considered to play Hillary Clinton in a film of the former First Lady and Secretary of State’s life. Jessica Chastain, Scarlett Johansson and Reese Witherspoon are all reportedly in the running to play a young Clinton in the project.

According to The Independent, the Sunday Times spoke with James Ponsoldt, who is attached to direct Rodham, a film about Clinton’s time as a young Washington lawyer in 1974. The article also named Amanda Seyfried as another possibility.

“They’re all wonderful actresses,” Ponsoldt said. “We’re very fortunate that a lot of really great actors are interested in playing these roles. We’re in an enviable position.”

Ponsoldt, who directed The Spectacular Now, added, “Regardless of people’s political affiliation or how they feel about Hillary Clinton, you don’t find people who question the quality of her intelligence or her drive. I want a wonderful actress who could embody that.”

Young Il Kim wrote the script, which landed on the Hollywood Black List of best unproduced screenplays.

The project is slated to be released around 2016, a time when Clinton could be in the spotlight since it is widely rumored that she’ll run for President. According to Cinemablend, that would probably mean that production will start in 2015.

Clinton was President Obama’s first Secretary of State and left after his second inauguration. She also served as a New York Senator.
