Justin Bieber's mentor Usher defends his controversial behavior on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (Video)

Justin Bieber has had his fair share of bad press lately, but his mentor, Usher, still supports him. The Voice mentor appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and talked about the 19 year old’s turbulent personal life.

Usher talked to DeGeneres about being a mentor on the hit NBC show, and the conversation switched to Bieber.

“I'm hoping for the best," he said, The Hollywood Reporter notes. "I don't look at it as a negative though. I look at it as a teenager. He's a teenager having to live his life in front of a camera. Imagine if you had to do that as a teenager."

Bieber was booed at the Billboard Music Awards a couple weeks ago, even though he was on stage accepting the Milestone Award. On Sunday, the drama continued when the cops were called to his home because neighbors complained about his excessive speeding.

Usher helped Bieber get his career started back when his YouTube video became an internet sensation.
