Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill revealed new details about the band’s forthcoming album.

Followill hosted an impromptu Q&A with fans via Twitter last weekend according to Rolling Stone and gave more information about the band’s new album.

Twitter user @superpanda11 asked which previous album the new project is most like, Followill replied with “Vibe/feeling could be compared to the first couple. It’s much more musically complicated though, so I’d have to say the last 2.”

Followill said to user @RPDband, “The ones I’m most proud of are the hardest to play. So it’s hard to say,” not giving away too many details.

Earlier this spring the band announced the expected release of their new album is in September.

The band played a new song titled “It Don’t Matter” at the Bottle Rock Music & Art festival in Napa Valley, Calif. on May 11 according to NME. This is the first new song fans have heard.

Kings of Leon will headline this summer’s V festival in August and will take the main stage along with Beyoncé. They also have shows lined up in London, Manchester, and Birmingham in June and July.
