Not only is it the birthday of Australian Queen of Pop Kylie Minogue’s birthday, but it’s the day the world gets to hear her new song titled “Skirt.”
With a booty-bouncing beat and Kylie’s signature voice over a dub-step buildup, the song asks you to “shake it.” Don’t worry, that’s what we will be doing all summer.
According to Perez Hilton, the dance track was co-created by The-Dream, who allegedly co-produced Beyonce’s leaked song, “Grown Woman.”
Huffington Post reported that Minogue signed on Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label in February to work on her 12th studio album.
Minogue told Rolling Stone of her new album, “I like to try move the goalpost and experiment with different sounds. I can't tell you exactly what it is. I couldn't really describe it yet. But I can tell you I'm having a lot of fun in the process.”
Besides working with The-Dream, Minogue plans to work with Pharrel Williams, Stargate and Darkchild.
