Authorities evacuated a section of Disneyland on Tuesday after an explosion went off in the park.
The explosion was reported around 5:30 p.m. in Toontown according to the LA Times. Sergeant Bob Dunn of the Anaheim Police Department was quickly at the scene. He said the loud explosion might have been caused by dry ice. The dry ice was placed in a plastic bottle, where it was dumped in a trashcan.
“As a precaution we have evacuated Toontown,” Dunn said.
Around the time the police were called in, several witnesses went onto Twitter and mentioned the explosion.
“Something went BOOM in Toontown at Disneyland and now they’re evacuating,” wrote @theallenwolf.
According to local NBC news, no injuries were reported. A bomb squad was called in after Toontown was evacuated to search for any other possible ice bombs. No other details about who did this or why are available at this time.
