McDonald’s is reaching out to Ohio hero Charles Ramsey after Ramsey retold the story of how he discovered that three women were held captive in his next door neighbors home, noting that he was eating McDonald’s just prior to the rescue.
Chicago Tribune reports that the popular fast food train tweeted that they would be in touch with Ramsey after the brand name was mentioned during a local television interview.
Spokeswoman Danya Proud explains, “We have literally heard from thousands of people who think McDonald's should do something for Mr. Ramsey. Out of respect for him, and the situation, McDonald's and our franchisees are contacting him directly."
Additionally, McDonald’s Corp took to Twitter to “salute the courage” of Ramsey. “We salute the courage of Ohio kidnap victims & respect their privacy. Way to go Charles Ramsey- we'll be in touch,” they tweeted Tuesday.
