Nicole Richie’s 3-year-old son, Sparrow, takes after his father, Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden. The 31-year-old fashion designer says he’s already a mini rock star.
Richie appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, and explained that since her son has gotten a taste of his dad’s rock star lifestyle, his favorite thing to do is pretend he’s a rockstar, too.
“Joel, he performs and he does meet and greets and the whole thing and Sparrow has seen that so he likes to do shows for us every day,” she said. ‘He likes to do the shows for us, and then when he’s done with his show, he gets on a step stool and he likes to have meet and greets.”
Richie, who is also mother to 5-year-old daughter Harlow, says when her son has meet and greets, it’s a whole event.
“I actually work out of my house so everyone that works in the house, everybody has to go downstairs to the kitchen. Joel’s his bodyguard and Joel says he’s very busy and he stands on his step stool and he goes, ‘I’m very busy but nice to meet you,’” Richie said. “And we go stand in line and we shake his hand and you take a picture with him.”
According toE! News, while Sparrow is the one performing and holding meet and greets at home, Richie says both of her kids “love music.”
