Although it remains unclear if there was actually a calling for more of Paris Hilton's music, the hotel heiress has announced that she will be releasing a second album.

Huffington Post reports that Hilton revealed her plans for a sophomore album to Showbizz411 while at Cannes helping to promote The Bling Ring, a film which focuses on aspects of her own personal life in it and reportedly had scenes filmed in her home.

Hilton is said to have signed on with Cash Money Records for a 'house music' album.

According to LA Times, many social media users assumed the news of Hilton trying to restart her music career was a joke, Cash Money co-founder Bryan Williams gushed about the opportunity to work with Hilton.

“She’s always supported us, and we’ve supported her. It was a friendship first. She played us music, and I was taken aback. I was impressed by her music, and I didn’t know she could sing so well.”

Hilton's album is expected to be released sometime this summer.
