Three sisters were ejected from a mall in Philadelphia on Sunday for refusing to take off profane anti-breast cancer hats.

Makia Underwood, 32, Zakia Clark, 29, and Tasha Clark, 27 lost their mother, Jackie Underwood, last week after she battled breast cancer for four years. The sisters were at the King of Prussia Mall to buy a funeral dresses.

The anti-cancer hats offended the security officers because of the one-word profanity, despite having a pink ribbon substituting one letter, before the word cancer. To Zakia and Tasha, it was a way to express how they felt about the disease.

“That’s how we feel. It took our mom away. It’s a demon…there are no other words you can use to explain how you feel,” Zaika explains.

According to The Inquisitr, the sisters were shopping for two and a half hours before being stopped by security and escorted out.

Management told ABC Action News, the mall does not tolerate profanity.

“The mall is first and foremost a family destination. Certain words and images, whether obvious or suggested, spoken or written on clothing, are considered profane and can offend many people.”

Later, the mall gave out an apology and condolences to the sisters.
