A tenth suspect has been arrested on suspicion of connection to the murder of off-duty soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, south London, last week.
A 50-year-old male was taken into custody on Monday in Upper Wickham Lane, Welling, south east London, according to Belfast Telegraph.
Police have also confirmed that an address in south east London was being searched, according to the BBC.
In honor of Rigby, English Defence League demonstrators marched through London today, chanting “Muslim killers off our streets” and “There’s only one Lee Rigby.”
Demonstrators’ signs read “Blood on your hands” and “GB RIP.”
Currently, four suspects remain in police custody. Four others have been bailed and two have been released without charge.
The two prime suspects, Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22, were shot by police on the scene and are currently recovering in separate hospitals, pending interrogation once they are discharged from their respective hospitals.
Questions have been raised as to what British authorities may have known about some of the suspects before the murder took place.
Adebolajo was arrested in Kenya in 2010 and was given consular assistance by the Foreign Office. Muthui Kariuki, spokesman for the Kenyan government, told the BBC that Adebolajo was believed to have been preparing to fight with Somali militant group al-Shabab.
