Following his break-up with Twilight Saga co-star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson was spotted in Santa Barbara with Katy Perry over the Memorial Day weekend.
The two, who have been known to be close friends, are sparking rumors that a budding relationship could’ve been to blame for Pattinson’s recent split with Stewart. While in Santa Barbara, they watched a wedding rehearsal take place between strangers at San Ysidro Ranch.
An onlooker told People, ”Katy and Rob were just sitting next to each other watching the wedding rehearsal in the main courtyard area. They were dressed very casually.”
The source added, "She was wearing a hoodie and big sunglasses. There was no PDA [public display of affection] between them and no body language that showed they were dating. They just sat together and watched,” adding, “They were not affiliated with the wedding party and were not seen mingling with guests.”
Two weeks before Pattinson and Stewart split, the actor saw the band Daughters with Perry in New York, which reportedly hurt Stewart, Entertainmentwise reports.
A friend of Perry’s said "She and Rob started off in the Bowery Ballroom, where they watched a gig by the indie band Daughter with a whole bunch of people, mainly pals of hers,” adding, "Then they took off with a smaller group for a much more intimate venue, The Spot at the Trump SoHo Hotel, where it was obvious there was chemistry between them.”
She concluded, “They’ve always liked each other."
Perry's last public relationship was with John Mayer.
