Robin Roberts, the co-anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America, is working on a memoir that will focus on her battle with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).

ABC broke the news on Twitter, announcing that Roberts had signed a deal with Grand Central Publishing to write the book and release an audio version. It’s set to hit bookstores in April 2014.

Roberts underwent a bone marrow transplant in September and missed six months of work. She thanked fans and used her blog to keep everyone up to date on her recovery process. Robersts returned to GMA in February.

“I have long admired Robin Roberts’s career and courage and am so honored to be publishing her book," said Jamie Raab, president and publisher of Grand Central, in a statement, notes The Hollywood Reporter. “Her story is both dramatic and inspiring, and will capture the incredible spirit that has endeared her to all of us who have followed her remarkable career and life.”

Roberts’ previous book, From the Heart, 7 Rules to Live By, was published in 2007 and was a New York Times bestseller. Earlier this week, she appeared at the Peabody Awards, where ABC News picked up an award for Robin’s Journey. She received a standing ovation from the crowd.
