Selena Gomez is releasing her highly anticipated new album this year, the follow-up to 2011’s When The Sun Goes Down. The 20-year-old has filled the album with plenty of fun dance tracks because she wanted it to “exude confidence and strength,” but there is one single track on the album that Selenators may want to hear over the others since she has revealed it is a very telling, personal ballad. It is the only ballad on the album, so it may stand out the most.
In a chat with MTV News she said the one song in particular is her most personal song to date. She says it is a hint of honesty through all the gossip. Still she knows some people may interpret it to mean something it doesn’t.
"With anything that I do, I feel like people assume that I say something that they get or they know, at the end of the day, it's super private to me," she said. "It's definitely important for me to keep that, but there is one song on the album I wanted to share a little bit more than I've ever shared before. It's a really pretty song. It is the only ballad, but the rest of the time, I like keeping a little mystery, because whether I tell you everything you want to know right now, they are still going to twist it and turn it into something else."
Gomez recently opened up about a “personal’ song she wrote for the album with InStyle Magazine , which sounds like it could be the same song she was talking about with MTV. According to the publication, it is about her rocky rollercoaster relationship with Justin Bieber, 19.
“I think it’s a sweet way of releasing it. It’s not an aggressive approach to what people are probably expecting,” she said about a song called “Love Will Remember.” She added, “I’m sure [Justin] will love it too.”
