After being shut down in April for a violation of safety regulations, the popular ride Space Mountain is back, up and running at Disneyland theme park.

According to WKYT state officials said the safety rules were broken when a contractor had fallen from cleaning the slanted roof of the popular ride Space Mountain. The contractor ended up feeling the consequences, suffering from severely broken bones.

There were 6 violations adding up to $235,000 against Disney from The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, according to Design & Trend, due to the contractor’s dangerous down fall. There was also a $61,000 fine for safety violations against the contracting company.

Along with Space Mountain, The Matterhorn Bobsleds and Soarin’ Over California in Disney’s California Adventure theme park were also closed down to further ensure that the safety regulations are being followed there as well. Both of these rides have also been reopened, according to Latinos Post.
