Tim Curry, one of Hollywood’s best character actors, is recovering at his Los Angeles home after reportedly suffering a major stroke.

Marcia Hurwitz, his longtime agent, told The Daily Mail that the Rocky Horror Picture Show star is “doing great.” She added, “He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humour.”

Curry, 67, suffered the stroke last night, but no further information was released. The Daily Mail notes that he previously had health issues in 2011, when he pulled out of a London production of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. He reportedly had a chest infection suffered asthma attacks.

The British actor, who is not married, became a major star in 1975 when he was cast as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He has over 200 film and TV acting credits to his name, including the cult comedy Clue. He has lately been lending his voice to cartoon characters, playing the Emperor on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and characters on Young Justice and Transformers: Rescue Bots.
