We are all familiar with this recent sudden outbreak of Zedd’s “Clarity” through the mainstream media outlet. However, this iconic electronic song was actually released in October of 2012 as the title of Zedd’s first and only album thus far. Since this recent media burst of “Clarity”, many artists both independently established and recreational on the internet have covered this hit single, some putting a little more twist than others, some remaining true to the justices and integrity of this song. Here are my personal top ten favorite Youtube covers of “Clarity”.

10 – Brian Perrett

Sadly, this video no longer exists.

Starting with an original take, it seems that Brian Perrett had decided to restyle the structure of “Clarity” into a very synthpop nature almost reflecting that of Owl City, except extremely vocally computerized and auto-tuned. It’s a fun and chillaxing remake of it, however, “Clarity” is a song that necessitates the use of vocals, and not just stylization. I applaud his original spin on this one-of-a-kind song, however, remixing isn’t just the business. In fact I didn’t know any better, he probably spoke it and had it songified by Schmoyoho.
