Kelly Clarkson has premiered the music video for her single “People Like Us,” which appears on Greatest Hits: Chapter 1. Last week it debuted at No. 99 on the Hot 100 chart.
"We are all misfits living in a world on fire," she sings in the song, which features a music video in black and white and later switches to color when she saves the “misfits.”
USA Today reports that “People Like Us” is the third single from her Greatest Hits: Chapter 1 album, coming in behind “Catch My Breath” and “Don’t Rush.”
The video was directed by Chris Marrs Pilier and shows a group of scientists, including herself, in black and white oogling over a little girl in color. After they try and diagnose whatever they think is wrong with her, Clarkson saves her. The scientists run after them, but they join the world of color.
According to Billboard, Clarkson will join headliner Maroon 5 for the 2013 Honda Civic Tour, which launches on August 1 in St. Louis.
