A woman is suing MAC beauty products, claiming she got herpes from a representative who applied the lip stick to her after using the same product on several other people.
According to TMZ, Starkeema Greenidge was attending a Rihanna concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY where claims a representative was selling the Rihanna endorsed color, RiRi Woo. Twenty four hours after the representative applied the makeup, Greenidge states, "My whole lip was irritated and hugely swollen."
She explains that “(MAC) didn’t use a fresh or new lipstick tube, but rather one that had been used for other patrons.”
Furthermore, Greenidge explains that she “wasn’t able to work for two weeks. It cost me a lot of money,” she tells New York Daily News.
Greenidge is suing MAC Cosmetics, not the “Stay” singer, for unspecified damages. She notes that since her doctor diagnosed her with herpes she has suffered severe mental anguish and “emotional distress.”
MAC has not issued a comment on the claims at this time.
