Zach Galifianakis cancelled an appearance at a press conference for his film Hangover III in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil because of a fear of heights.
The only way to get to Morro da Urca is by a cable car ride, up 220 meters.
A rep for Galifianakis, 43, told Gossip Cop, “Zach is afraid of heights, and called into the press conference to let participants know, and made a few jokes.”
Galifianakis’ co-stars Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms did attend the press conference.
According to Perez Hilton, however, the reason Galifianakis didn’t attend the conference was because of a disagreement with his co-stars.
“The gossip behind the scenes is that there was a disagreement between the team on Tuesday night at the hotel,” a source said.
Cooper is reportedly being difficult during the Brazilian press tour as well, with a source saying he was late and “was not even a little friendly nor receptive to questions from reporters. When asked about how his bachelor party was when he married Jennifer Esposito, whom he broke up with months later, or how he would want it to be if he marries again, [Bradley] replied: 'I never had bachelor.' That is it."
