The trailer for Drinking Buddies, the ensemble comedy starring Olivia Wilde, Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick and Ron Livingston, hit the web last week.
In the film, Wilde plays Kate, who is best friends with co-worker Luke (New Girl’s Johnson). The two work at a brewery in Chicago and there could be a relationship, but the two are already in relationships with other people. Kate is with Chris (Livingston), while Jill (Kendrick) starts with Luke. Alcohol gets involved and the relationships between the friends get confused.
According to The Wrap, the film was written and directed by Joe Swanberg. Magnolia Pictures is releasing the film on July 25. It was screened at SXSW in March.
Fans of Wilde have a lot to look forward to this year, since Drinking Buddies isn’t the only film in 2013 she stars in. She already appeared in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and will also be seen in Better Living Through Chemistry.
Wilde also co-stars in Rush, Ron Howard’s real-life racing drama starring Chris Hemsworth. It comes out on Sept. 20.
