Punk rock band, AFI (A Fire Inside), has announced that they signed to Republic Records and will be releasing a new CD this September.

After a series of ambiguous teaser videos put out by the band, the announcement was finally revealed to itching fans.

“We are thrilled to be joining the Republic family for the release of our ninth record,” said lead singer, AFI, Davey Havok. "We've spent over two years realizing this album and could not be more excited to share it will all."

This currently untitled album will be AFI’s ninth studio album and their first off of Republic. Their last record, “Crash Love“ was released in 2009.

The new record was produced by Gil Norton and mixed by Andrew Scheps. It was recorded in the Los Angeles East West Studios of California.

Along with this announcement, AFI revealed that they will be playing Riot Fest in Chicago and Denver in September of this year. In addition to the festival, the band announced their headlining tour this year. Dates for the tour are still to be announced.
