Britain is expected to have an economic boost this summer with the anticipation of the July birth of the royal baby.

According to the UK Daily Mail, economic analysts predict Britons will spend around £242 million or $380 million in baby memorabilia, and party supplies and drinks.

Several businesses are starting to offer baby products to their catalogue. On sale now at the royal palace, the Royal Collection has issued a baby pajama resembling the guardsman’s uniform.

Even the future grandparents have added baby goods to their businesses. Prince Charles has made handmade baby shoes for his Highgrove shop, while Kate Middleton’s parents have baby party supplies at their store.

Additionally, Reuters report tourist will likely be a large source for the increased spending.

“This is a good news story and there really is no downside. With the birth coming in July, people will have time to get involved, and that means additional spending,” said director of the Centre for Retail Research Joshua Bamfield.

One thing that Bamfield notes people will see after the birth is an old trend. The Kate-effect, where items the Duchess wore or used sell out quickly, will transition towards the baby as well.
