Arctic Monkeys announced their fifth full-length album AM on Sept. 10 through Domino.
This is the bands first full-length since 2011’s Suck It and See. It will feature contribution from Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, who co-produced their 2009 album Humbug. Pete Thomes of Jones is also apart of the album as well as John Cooper Clarke, who will appear on “I Wanna Be Yours” Billboard Reports.
The band revealed a video for the lead single off the album “Do I Wanna Know?” Another single “R U Mine?” off the upcoming album was released in early 2012 and performed on tour with the Black Keys according to NME.
Arctic Monkeys are scheduled to play at festivals this summer and fall including Inmusic, Glastonbury and Benicassim.
Drummer Matt Helders said the band is going to “have a bit of fun” with their set list at the Glastonbury festival.
“I’m prepared for what it entails in way, but I think in terms of preparation we can mold a different kind of set list for it and have a bit more fun with it,” he said.
