In the August issue of Seventeen magazine, Ariana Grande talks about her time on the set of Nickelodeon’s Victorious and how unhappy she was while shooting for the teen television show.

US Magazine reveals that although Grande never refers to her bullier by name she claims that there was someone on the set who told Grande that they would never like her.

“I started changing myself to please her. It made me stop being social and friendly. I was so unhappy,” Grande confesses.

The show wrapped up in February and since then Grande has been pushing her music career, releasing a single for her upcoming album titled Daydreamin’. She says that in order to keep her confidence up she’s been trying to channel “super-confident women like Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and Beyonce.”

During an interview with Teen Vogue, both Ariana Grande and Jenette McCurdy talked about their new spin-off series titled Sam and Cat. The show takes Sam from iCarly and Cat from Victorious and puts them together in a sitcom type comedy. The question of whether or not Grande would be using the show to push her music career, but she confirmed that she was trying to keep her two careers as separate as possible.
