The Taken franchise might just expand, as Liam Neeson has reportedly been offered $20 million to star in Taken 3. The first two films have taken the box office by storm.

Neeson played the former CIA agent Bryan Mills in the first two installments. He was reportedly reluctant to do Taken 2, but he agreed when he was offered $15 million to do it.

According to Deadline, production could start as early as February if Neeson comes to a deal with EuropaCorp’s Luc Besson and 20th Century Fox.

They will also try to get Maggie Grace, the actress who played Neeson’s daughter, and Famke Janssen, who played his ex-wife.

Daily Mail reports Besson, the series writer, has said of the first sequel, “The story’s very good. But we won't have a third one. We’ll have a second one, because it’s almost a continuation of the first movie.”

He added, “You could even take one and two together, in a way, and that works. But I don’t think we’ll go like Transporter, for example, with two, three and four. We’ll stop at the two.”
